The Colorado High School Coaches Association is pleased to announce that we will be awarding EIGHT $1000 scholarships to CHILDREN of MEMBER COACHES.

If you are a current MEMBER of the CHSCA and have a SENIOR STUDENT this year, we encourage you to send this link to your student to apply.

TO THE STUDENTS, please gather the following and be ready to submit it all together. 

EVERYTHING IS DUE BY APRIL 30—no extensions.

Gather and be ready to include the following documents with the application form:

1.  Your high school grade transcript with SAT or ACT scores
2.  A statement of your goals/future plans

3.    Be ready to list

                         a) Your athletic letters with sports and years and other athletic awards

                         b) Your school activities other than sports with offices held

                        c) Your notable non-school activities

4. A ONE page typed essay on ONE of the following topics:

• Life and Lessons learned as a Coaches kid.
• Why YOU want to become a Coach and what YOUR coaching style will be.
• How High School sports has prepared you for the next stage of your life.
   

5. A PICTURE with your application.

Every year since 1986 the Colorado High School Coaches Association has awarded scholarships to student/athletes who are nominated by their high school coaches. In that time, the CHSCA has awarded scholarships valued over $200,000 to student/athletes from 83 Colorado high schools.  These scholarships were originally sponsored by Gatorade from 1992-2009, and now are sponsored by CHSCA, and each scholarship provides financial assistance in the first year of college education.
