MEMBERSHIPS
Coach, choose the membership that fits you best:
Active Member:
For coaches actively engaged in one or more of the following activities at Colorado schools:
• Coaching middle school athletes
• Coaching high school athletes
• Coaching college or university athletes
• Training (Certified Athletic Trainer) middle school athletes
• Training (Certified Athletic Trainer) high school athletes.
• Training (Certified Athletic Trainer) Colorado college or university athletes
• Directing the athletic programs & coaching middle school athletes
• Directing the athletic programs & coaching high school athletes
• Directing the athletic programs & coaching college or university athlete
• Student coaching middle /high school athletes
(Must be presently enrolled in an undergraduate degree granting program in an accredited institution of higher education)
Members meeting the qualifications listed above will be given ACTIVE MEMBER status. They will receive:

CHSCA General Liability Insurance, which covers them for one calendar year from the date they become members, and the rest of the benefits that come with membership in CHSCA. Note: Our General Liability insurance covers the member ONLY while he/she is coaching or training athletes including summer camps, clinics and leagues for athletes of any age. It DOES NOT cover the member when he/she is performing other work duties. Examples of non-coverage work duties would be, but not limited to, classroom teaching, working at a medical clinic or hospital, Instructing conditioning or weight training classes at fitness centers/gyms.

Associate Member:
Is for persons who are directors of athletics, who are not actively coaching, school personnel, sports officials, coaches coaching at out of state schools, media persons or anyone genuinely interested in the promotion of middle school and high school athletics.
Note: Associate members are Not eligible for free admittance to CHSAA Playoff contests nor eligible to receive any of the benefits of being an active member with the exception of attending clinics and banquets at special associate member prices. Being eligible for special awards as determined by the board of directors. Receiving all CHSCA media publications. Free admission to the Colorado All-State Games and receiving the current year CHSCA/CHSAA school directory.
Retired Member:
Is for members who have retired from active coaching and from classroom teaching. They are eligible for all active member benefits except, the general liability insurance and receiving the current CHSCA/CHSAA school directory. Retired members may purchase the directory for $7.00.
Life Membership:
For members who are CHSCA past Presidents and other deserving individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Colorado athletics as determined by the Board of Directors. These life members are not assessed fees. Their benefits are determined by their current status as one of these membership types: an active member, a retired member or an associate member.
